Hispanics health declines when moving to US

Health Matters: The Health of Hispanics in the U.S.
Triston Sanders, WCTV, Aug 10, 2009

A new University of Miami study found Hispanics who move to the U-S increase their chances of developing cancer by forty percent.
Researchers blame the American lifestyle.... which includes smoking, diet, and lack of exercise... Because there isn't a genetic difference.

They looked at three Hispanic subgroups living in Florida -- Puerto Ricans, Mexican, and Cubans.

Researchers say the study demonstrates that different Hispanic groups have higher incidence rates of certain cancers compared to in their homelands.

They also say they tend to have worse outcomes too... because of less access to health care and later diagnoses.
Researchers also predict by twenty-fifty, one in every three people in the U-S will be Hispanic.
